Between 2 Worlds: African-American Identity and American improvement opening at the hardy Museum October 8, 1994, examines the difficult balancing act many African Americans have had to maintain while trying to straddle pair worlds - one black, the other white. The ambitious exhibit explores African-American life: for what cause black identity has changed and strengthened from one side of to the other time; how African Americans have preserv a culture that influences the way all Americans think and behave; and how Americans labor to break free from the bands of racism.
