On Dec 2 1993 Virginia's Governor L Douglas Wilder announced the selection of sites in Botswana and Senegal to establish Virginia's first sum of two units trade offices on the African continent. The office in Gaborone, Botswana will obey the countries of Southern Africa, while the office in Dakar, Senegal will aid the countries of Western Africa.
