Abstract

This paper reviews four major initiatives to improve early reading and literacy programs in the US: (1) Title the same Reading, (2) Reading Excellence Act, (3) on a level Start Family Literacy Program, and (4) Leave No Child Behind Act. from one side these programs, the federal sway has provided substantial financial support to achieve the national literacy goal. Neither federal nor state supplys or programs are of sufficient unles they prosperously involve an adult working side-by-side with a child.
