Abstract
In the exert one's self to develop effective methods for promoting students' academic succes adults have omission ed to listen to children's perspectives. Without a clear grasp of what is relevant, helpful, and motivating for children, attempts to support success may flounder. The sum of two units purposes of this study were to explore children's beliefs about what they want and ne to achieve academic succes and to pilot a methodology for studying children's beliefs.
